IntoText Corp. To Conduct Hands-On BuilderWerks® Demonstration Lab Friday, February 15th, at IBS 2008

JANUARY 29, 2008, TAMPA, Florida – IntoText Corp. said today it will give International Builders’ Show® attendees an opportunity to see BuilderWerks and the new BuilderWerks Lite™ in action at a computer lab seminar, 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 15th, in Lab Room W310 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Participants will hear about both products from company President and product developer Brig Johnson, who advised attendees to come early to be sure to get a seat. Attendees will get to try out some of the programs’ features, using realistic vendor, subcontractor, and customer communications dictated live by Johnson.

He points out, “The core business argument for BuilderWerks is the impressive amount of time and money it saves. It heads off communication mistakes, misunderstandings, and omissions. These occur all too frequently with old-fashioned methods and cause delays, loss of customers, and even lawsuits. BuilderWerks’ strengthens project communications. The lab will let people see and understand how BuilderWerks can enhance their operations and, for many, create a database that is a true corporate asset.”

BuilderWerks saves superintendents and project managers as much as 1-1/2 to 2 hours a day in administrative work. It turns superintendents’ dictation into text, parses it into faxes and e-mails, sends those messages, and then documents everything.

BuilderWerks Lite offers a subset of BuilderWerks’ functionality, transcribing the text, categorizing the messages, and storing the data in a spreadsheet. “The regular BuilderWerks product does a lot more,” says Johnson. “It formats and sends messages, and it also allows for scheduling, tracking chargebacks, updating records, and other critical tasks. We developed BuilderWerks Lite as a steppingstone to let builders experience speech recognition at work and gain confidence in its many basic benefits. The hard-copy documentation it creates is like ‘money in the bank’ because it removes all questions about who said what to whom and when they said it.”

BuilderWerks and IntoText’s new BuilderWerks Lite can be found in Booth W4492 at The International Builders’ Show® (IBS) Feb. 13 - 16, 2008, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, as well as at this seminar on Friday from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Wish You Were Building More? Contractors Can Use BuilderWerks® as A Powerful CRM and Sales Tool, Too!

JANUARY 29, 2008, TAMPA, Florida – In the spirit of helping their customers be successful during the current market downturn, IntoText Corp. says that its BuilderWerks® jobsite communication management system can be customized to work as a powerful CRM and sales management tool for builders and Realtors.

“BuilderWerks is first and foremost a timely and accurate communications tool that takes advantage of speech-recognition technology to streamline operations management,” IntoText Corp. President Brig Johnson explains. “But, BuilderWerks also helps you keep in touch with customers and prospects, not just vendors and subs. You can even dictate notes to yourself to make sure you never forget any critical details. Used in the sales mix this way, BuilderWerks can help set up and close deals!”

Johnson shares this example. “Construction superintendent Robert Ratliff sold a house to a woman who came to his jobsite in Austin, TX. She visited at the urging of a friend who was one of Robert’s customers. That customer told her friend about the quality and frequency of Robert’s updates, dictated and e-mailed daily using BuilderWerks. There was no ongoing construction detail that Robert’s customer couldn’t know the same day. That level of customer service convinced the customer’s friend to buy from Robert. She cancelled her contract for a house in another subdivision, and then purchased a new home from Robert on the spot.”

Johnson calls the sale of that house “...a byproduct of Robert’s everyday professionalism and BuilderWerks’ capability. BuilderWerks can be a terrific tool for keeping in touch with prospects and customers as well as for compiling accurate project management records of communications with your vendors and subs.” Johnson adds, “Realtors have approached us about using BuilderWerks to create reports about their sales tours and preclosing walkthroughs. It’s a great tool for both of those applications.”

BuilderWerks and IntoText’s new BuilderWerks Lite™ can be found in Booth W4492 at The International Builders’ Show® (IBS) Feb. 13 - 16, 2008, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. IntoText will also sponsor a BuilderWerks workshop at IBS in Lab Room W310 on Friday, February 15, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

The NAHB’s Nation’s Building News (1/14/08) previewed the BuilderWerks Lab scheduled for nextBUILD™ at the 2008 International Builders’ Show, on Friday, Feb. 15, 8:00-9:30 a.m. in Orlando, Fla.

The NAHB's Nation’s Building News (8/6/07) quotes Joe Pullen:
“Builders' schedules typically deteriorate because of a few common mistakes” including “Insufficient communication with employees, vendors, trade contractors, Realtors® and clients”.

In May, 2007, Atlanta Building News described how BuilderWerks uses the power of Speech Recognition to capture, document, and communicate information from the field:

BUILDER News Magazine ran an article in December, 2006 titled: "Is it time to overhaul your project management?" After reviewing some powerful construction management software packages, it describes how BuilderWerks by IntoText Corp. facilitates project management via dictation from the field.

The NAHB’s Nation’s Building News ran a similar profile in its 11/20/06 and 1/8/07 editions. Although Brig has never been a construction superintendent as the article states, the software was developed by working closely with an experienced construction superintendent for more than three years, and only now that it is smooth and ready is it coming to market.
